March Favourite Songs(Sorry it's a little late).

Hello, hi and welcome! I know I missed out on my February favourite songs but that's simply because I didn't really have many as it was such a busy month I didn't really have time so I really just listened to my January playlist again!

But my March playlist has been different so it's officially back! Be ready because this is a little long sorry if I bore you..

LORDE - LIABILITY.

I have missed Lorde so.damn.much. I love this song a lot. It hit me right in the feels, I relate to it as it's how I feel sometimes with certain people. I feel like it's quite personal to her which is why it's so emotional and honest. I'm so glad she's back and I can't wait for her album but apparently it's not out until June which feels far too long away.

Favourite Lyrics: "They say; you're a little too much for me, you're a liability."

JULIA MICHAELS - ISSUES.

I have loved this song for quite a while now, this is definitely going down as one of my favourite songs of 2017. I really hope she releases new music soon, I love her voice.

Favourite Lyrics: "I could love you just like that, and I could leave you just as fast."

ANNE-MARIE -

CIAO ADIOS.

I absolutely adore this song, from the second I heard it I loved it. The way I feel about this song is how I feel for Alessia Cara - Here and Meghan Trainor - Better. They just instantly become a top favourite and I never can bring myself to skip it no matter how many hundreds of times I've played it. I can't wait for her album, she's stupidly talented. If you want to see how talented Anne-Marie really is, YouTube her covers and/or her acoustics. They'll blow you away.

Favourite Lyrics: "After three after four times, why did I bother? Tell me how more times, does it take to get smarter?"

GENTLEMAN.

This song isn't on Spotify or Apple Music JUST YouTube as she's only ever performed it once on SBTV. It is honestly one of the most incredible performances. I recommend it to everyone.

Favourite Lyrics: "You thought you had a plan, act like a gentleman. You thought you had it all effortlessly in hand. You thought you had me, ooh-na-na, ooh-na-na. But you can't fool me, ooh-na-na, ooh-na-na."

LITTLE MIX:

ft MACHINE GUN KELLY - NO MORE SAD SONGS.

I wasn't sure if I'd like this song with the rapping in but I think I actually prefer it to the original! I loved this song from the minute I heard it on the album and it's been in my monthly favourites in the past, I'm glad it'll be a single!

Favourite Lyrics: "I keep trying, to put this behind me. Still wanna know, whose taking you home."

TOUCH(Spotify Studios NYC).

I have been loving acoustic versions of songs recently and I've listened to this especially on repeat! I love when Little Mix sing acoustically they really show case their voices and talent.

Favourite Lyrics: "Just a touch of your love is enough to knock me off of my feet all week."

MEGHAN TRAINOR - I'M A LADY.

I love Meghan Trainor and literally every song she ever does. It was a no brainer that I'd like this, the first listen I was a bit 50/50 but after about a million plays I love it. I've played this A LOT in my car.

Favourite Lyrics: "I don't look like them but I ain't worried 'bout it."

ZEDD ft ALESSIA CARA - STAY.

I've missed Alessia Cara, and I really love this song. I listened to this when I drove to Newark with my mum, we had the windows down and it was such a good song to listen to.

Favourite Lyrics: "Living on my sofa, drinking rum and cola underneath the rising sun."

JP COOPER - SEPTEMBER SONG.

It took me a while to get on this song. I kept hearing it on the radio at work and one day I couldn't get it out of my head so I downloaded it as well as his song 'Birthday' which he wrote for the new Fifty Shades film. This song reminds me of my first real crush at school, it's really cute.

Favourite Lyrics: "You were my September song, tell me where have you gone?"

ED SHEERAN:

NEW MAN.

This is my favourite song from his new album. I listen to it over and over again. I play it straight away in the car. LOVE. I just feel like he describes basically every guy in England in one song.

Favourite Lyrics: "Every time a rap song comes on he says 'TUNE, boy dem light up the room!'."

SUPERMARKET FLOWERS.

Excuse me while I wipe my tears off my phone screen. I'm fine. This song is honestly one of the most beautiful songs he's done. I always get a tear in my eye when I listen to it. It makes me think of how much I love my mum, and makes you appreciate everything your parents do.

Favourite Lyrics: "And when god takes you back he'll say 'hallelujah you're home'."

BARCELONA.

Another favourite - I've loved his album this month by the way. This song just makes me want to dance and twirl and sing. It's quite a different sound to his usual stuff but I really like it.

Favourite Lyrics: "Dance like they do in the Mediterranean, spin you around again and again."

HAPPIER.

This song hit me hard. I haven't felt so emotional through a song as I did through this one in a long time. It really touched a nerve for me. Anyone who has had to move on from someone will feel something with this song.

Favourite Lyrics: "But baby you look happier, you do. I knew one day you'd fall for someone new."

LOUISA - BEST BEHAVIOUR.

I really love Louisa's voice, she was my favourite on X Factor all the way throughout. I love this song, ever since I heard it I liked it. I think there's so many good female solo artists at the minute; Anne-Marie, Zara Larsson, Kehlani - it's difficult to make it but I think Louisa will do so well.

STORMZY ft LILY ALLEN & KEHLANI - CIGARETTES & CUSH.

Stormzy has been absolutely killing it so far this year and he's also so likeable you kind of feel like you can't not like him. Lily Allen also features in the song and I don't know why Apple or Spotify don't include her name in the credits but oh well. It's so catchy and I spent a good day or two having it on repeat. Kehlani slays her verse as well of course.

Favourite Lyrics: "You know night turns into day, I didn't stop to pause."

RAG'N'BONE MAN - SKIN.

This mans voice literally melts me to nothing. He has such a talent it's unreal. I haven't had chance to listen to his album yet, but I love this song so much it's on my to do list.

Favourite Lyrics: "When my skin grows old and my breath runs cold I'll be thinking about you."

MELODY THORNTON - SPACE.

This is a huge throwback to like 2008. I was going through Spotify bored one day and found this. When I was like 11/12 I absolutely LOVED this song. Melody is from The Pussycat Dolls(for those not familiar). I don't know why I loved this so much when I was young because I hadn't ever gone through heartbreak back then, but eve since I found it again I've played it repeatedly.

Favourite Lyrics: "The space in your mind when you think of me, 'cause I'm about to be a memory."

TINASHE - FLAME.

Random fact - I first heard this on the way to Ikea. Probably one of my favourite songs by Tinashe in actual fact. It's quite a nice, chill song for a spring Sunday. I love listening to this in the car.

Favourite Lyrics: "And tell me that you’ve still want to stay, don’t leave.
Even though I never given up in my heart."

FRANCES - NO MATTER.

I found out about Frances on Apple Music actually, then I realised this song is on an advert I can't remember which but it is. Most of her songs are quite slow and emotional and I wasn't too sure about her album but I love this song.

Favourite Lyrics: "Yeah you know that I, we, me, us - we're doing it all the same."

ZARA LARSSON -

I've done a review of her album(my last post) so I won't go on and bore you, I'll just list my faves:

  • TG4M
  • SUNDOWN
  • MAKE THAT MONEY GIRL
  • ONE MISSISSIPPI

DRAKE -

GET IT TOGETHER ft BLACK COFFEE & JORJA SMITH.

Can I just say I have been LOVING More Life. But I do have my favourites. The start of this song is quite similar to One Dance, it's like a big sister to it but a little slower.

Favourite Lyrics: "We don't have to be dramatic, just romantic. Do all the little things, little things, little things. That excites me, as your woman."

BLEM.

Don't really know what Blem is or if it's an actual words but it is now. I feel like Blem is me at like 2am on a night out. That's how I relate to it anyway. Also, it also has the iconic 'You need to stop running back to your ex he's a wasteman' Lyric which everyone seems to be tweeting (even my ex how ironic ha ha ha).

Favourite Lyrics: "I know we can't keep it together, forever, 'cause you're crazy sometimes and I only see you sometimes."

TEENAGE FEVER.

My favourite song on the album. I LOVE it. He also samples JLo's 'If You Had My Love' which I'm sure many people won't know(ahem, anyone under 20) and it makes me sad because JLo was an ICON. Anyway, I love how he's sampled it but wish he'd actually had her on it.

Favourite Lyrics: "This shit feels like teenage fever, I'm not scared of it - she ain't either."

SINCE WAY BACK ft PARTYNEXTDOOR.

Anything that involves these two is an instant favourite. I love this but Come And See Me is still my favourite song with them two. This sounds like a part two to it.

Favourite Lyrics: "I hope you know everything is textual."

Thanks for reading!

Review: Zara Larsson - So Good Album.

Hello, hi and welcome!

So, I don't know if you're aware or not but Zara Larsson released her album 'So Good' today. I listened to it to and from work and I have to say I've loved every single song on it.

I thought I'd give you a little breakdown of what I think of each song on it.

WHAT THEY SAY.

This song is perfect to start the album off. It's uplifting and great to drive along to!

Favourite Lyrics: "They don't believe in you like I believe in you any way."

LUSH LIFE.

I've loved this song ever since it came out. It always reminds me of dance class in Berlin, my teacher there always played it to warm up to.

Favourite Lyrics: "No tricks, no bluff I'm just better off without them cuffs."

I WOULD LIKE.

Another song I've been loving up until now. Me and my dad took ages searching on Spotify for the original version of this song - turns out there isn't an original, but she did take the 'i would like to get to know you baby' from Sasha's 'Dat Sexy Body' (go have a listen and you'll see what I mean).

Favourite Lyrics: "I can't help myself its human nature, human nature. Whose to say what's meant to be?"

SO GOOD ft TY DOLLA $IGN.

Probably one of my favourite songs of hers ever. It's so chill and feel good, I know I'm going to be blasting this in my car in the summer.

Favourite Lyrics: "Stuck on it 'cause my loves so good so you keep coming back to get some more."

TG4M.

I remember when I first heard this when I was driving and I was like 'yaaaas'. I turned it up and tapped along to it.

Favourite Lyrics: "You're too good for me but I want, I want you any way."

ONLY YOU.

I like this song but not as much as other songs on her album. Her voice reminds me of Bridget Mendler in this song.

Favourite Lyrics: "I can't love no body like I love myself, only you."

NEVER FORGET YOU ft MNEK.

I remember when I first heard this song, I had it on repeat - I was obsessed. I'm sure it was in my monthly favourites for like five months in a row. I still sing along with everything I have when I hear it.

Favourite Lyrics: "I wonder what would happen if we went back and put up a fight."

SUNDOWN ft WIZKID.

I love this song so much. I love the backing track, her voice, everything. This song is definitely one for the summer.

Favourite Lyrics: "So can we love now? 'Cause I don't wanna wait until sun down."

DON'T LET ME BE YOURS.

I really like this song. I feel like I'm saying this about every song, but there isn't a song I dislike on this album. This song is a little different to the others, it's quite deep and honest without being too dramatic.

Favourite Lyrics: "You think you know me, but you can see my lonely heart."

MAKE THAT MONEY GIRL.

This song just makes you want to scream YAS. This is like an anthem for women, it's a solid favourite of mine.

Favourite Lyrics: "You know that you're one in a million, so make that million."

AIN'T MY FAULT.

When she first released this I wasn't too sure, but that quickly changed and I'm sure I played this for like the whole of December - no joke. The drop is just perfection. I also want her boots in the music video.

Favourite Lyrics: "It ain't my fault you came here looking like that, you just made me trip, fall and land in your lap."

ONE MISSISSIPPI.

Another favourite of mine, I feel like I can relate to this song which is probably why I really love it.

Favourite Lyrics: "Three Mississippi you're gone, saying you don't even want it no more."

FUNERAL.

I thought this would be a lot more sad than it is - I'm not disappointed, I just assumed because of the title. Another song I relate to and really like, I dance along to this in the car too.

Favourite Lyrics: "I wished you everything you ever wanted in your life, this tastes so bittersweet it's like I'm going under."

I CAN'T FALL IN LOVE WITHOUT YOU.

This is quite a slow one which really shows off her voice, it's not got a lot of production behind it.

Favourite Lyrics: "I feel so happy, so happy that I'm free. And I can see things, things I couldn't see."

Favourite Song(s):

  • One Mississippi
  • TG4M
  • Ain't My Fault
  • Sundown
  • Make That Money Girl

Least Favourite Song(s):
  • Only You

Rating /10:

10/10. There is no particular song on the album that I've skipped. I think the only reason I don't love Only You yet is because I need to warm up to it still. I love this album and I know I'm going to be playing it for a long time.

Thanks for reading!

#InternationalWomensDay

Hello, hi and welcome! So today has been the day women around the world are celebrated for being exactly that - a woman.

I don't speak out about my opinion on feminism because I have never felt the need to. I don't feel like feminism should really be a discussion - unless it's severely important because I feel everyone should be a feminist.

Everyone should want equality.

Although I know this isn't reality and far from the truth but I know in my head what I do and don't believe in and I am in fact a feminist.

I thought I would use this blog post to highlight the women who inspire me daily.

My Mum - She is by far one of the most hilarious, intelligent, courageous women I know. She takes everything in her stride and no matter what is thrown at her, she deals with it head on no matter how painful or stressful. She can make me feel better without words, she knows the solution to everything and has taught me everything there is to know about being a woman, for that I thank you, mum.

My Little Sister - My little sister Leah is only eleven but she has taught me so much without knowing. She's witty and knows herself, she knows more about life than I did at that age and that's because she's educated herself. She doesn't let herself get blindsided or look up to the wrong role models.

My Friends - I have a handful of friends who I hold close to my heart and feel they all inspire me differently. Whether it's through makeup, career choices or making decisions I would be half the woman I am without my friends.

My Manager - My manager has a heart of solid gold. She's kind-hearted, generous and honest. I respect her beyond words and I couldn't have gotten through the past six months in my job without her. She's open-minded and gives the best advice. She inspires me to be better and I thank her for that.

My Previous Boss In Berlin - The lady I worked for in Berlin inspired me throughout that year I was with her. I found out things I never knew about myself and it inspired me as a woman to be stronger, not be so naive and to not always see in black and white.

Rihanna - Rihanna is the epitome of a female boss. She sets goals but achieves higher than them. She's not just a singer but an entrepreneur, designer, actress, business woman and above all that she's an independent, fierce woman who has overcome traumatic experiences by being better than them.

Victoria Beckham - A fierce feminist herself, Victoria Beckham has always been an inspiration of mine ever since I was that six year old kid with the Spice World jumper at Wembley screaming to "Spice Up Your Life". Even though she has gone on to have one of the most successful designer brands this century, she hasn't forgetten about Girl Power ever, and has infiltrated that through her work.

I also have a 'Anthems For Women' playlist on Spotify with nothing but empowering songs if you want to listen, just type in natalieannstoddart and my playlists come up!

Thank you reading, do you have any inspiring women in your life?

"Behind every successful woman is herself."

Favourite Albums At The Minute.

Hello, hi and welcome! I thought I'd give you a brief run down of the albums I've been loving recently, some are new, some are from last year and some are a couple years old.

Without further ado, I present my favorite albums(recently)..

KEHLANI - SWEET SEXY SAVAGE.

I have been waiting a while for Kehlani to release this album. Her first album I really liked but this I LOVE. There isn't one song I dislike which is really rare for me.

There's songs I listen to a lot more than others but there isn't one song I ever skip. I think the main reason I love it so much is because every song is relatable; 'Do U Dirty' talks about not being able to be the perfect girlfriend which is 100% me. Then you have 'CRZY' which just talks about never backing down to anyone and loving YOUR life.

'Piece of Mind' is a song that has helped me this month. With lyrics such as "at least I didn't mess it up, that was all your touch, I don't miss it much. Won't be dumb again, I can feel again." And "at least I learnt a thing or two, about me and you, what we went through." I just relate so well.

'In my Feelings' is another that has helped me too recently. I feel like she's singing about a experience I've been through, it makes me feel like it's not me who goes through shit relationship. My favourite lyrics are "why do I let you get me high then give you my all?"

KANYE WEST - THE LIFE OF PABLO.

I've really been into this album recently which is quite odd but I have. I've been loving 'Waves' and 'Famous' which I loved when the album first came out, but I've also been liking 'I Love Kanye' and 'Real Friends' too. 'I Love Kanye' just makes me laugh, it's barely a song but I still like it for whatever reason. 'Facts (Charlie Heat Version)' is also a favourite. I love the wording in it, it's really clever.

BRYSON TILLER - TRAPSOUL.

I love Bryson Tiller - I'd probably put him on par with Drake, Zayn and partynextdoor when it comes down to my favourite RnB males.

I've listened to this album all over again and I don't think it was appreciated as much as it should have been - I think people only know 'Sorry Not Sorry' because Kylie Jenner constantly on her Snapchat, but I wouldn't say that's one of my favourites. 'Been That Way' is a solid favourite of mine, I listened to it a lot in Berlin so it reminds me of my time there. 'Exchange' is another favourite, it's kind of what you'd want someone to say to you and I fall in love with his voice and the backing track is sooo smooth. 'Let Em' Know' is a good one to sing to in the shower(which i do a lot..) but it isn't a song for everyone.

JOJO - MAD LOVE.

I didn't really to this album properly when it first came out, I listened to it and liked it but just recently I've really listened to it and connected with the songs.

'High Heels' has been one of my top favourites recently, I love the message behind it. It makes me want to dance on a table in heels and stick my middle finger up to all the people who have done me wrong. It's a real female empowering song with lyrics such as; "without me boy you'll always feel alone. i'll put my high heels on, wall right out the door best believe ima leave, don't need you no more."

I really wish I had paid attention and bought tickets to her Mad Love tour now.

BIG SEAN - I DECIDED.

I really like Big Sean, he's one rapper I can listen to a whole album of(I can't do it with many). I've listened to it every day since it came out and I've loved it more and more as each day has gone by. 'Bounce Back' has always been a solid favourite since he released it as a single. 'Bigger Than Me' is also a strong favourite, it feels like a such a genuine song that he really does care for music and where he came from.

DRAKE - TAKE CARE.

I have been loving this album all over again, obviously it's from 2011 so it's not even a recent release but I feel like it's an album we shouldn't forget about.

'Marvin's Room' is such a classic I have genuine love for it and dare anyone to say they dislike it. 'Shot For Me' is also a favourite - it's also Zayn Malik's favourite Drake song too.. I don't know why I've told you that.

'Headlines' is just the absolute best but the music video is a little weird(go watch it). 'Crew Love ft The Weeknd' is probably one of two songs I like that include The Weeknd, if it didn't have Drake on it I wouldn't like it.

'HYFR' is the greatest thing to ever be created on this album. As well as the other songs. But this is the best. Lil Wayne just smashes his verse.

Thanks for reading!

Favourites Songs: January 2017.

Hello, hi & welcome! My favourite songs this month have been a mixture of New and old. So hope you enjoy..

CHRIS BROWN FT GUCCI MANE & USHER - PARTY.

This song shouldn't be a favourite but I have LOVED it. I've played it over and over and over.

Favourite Lyrics: "Ooh she ain't dismissed, she knows how to party."

CHARLIE XCX - AFTER THE AFTER PARTY.

So apparently I'm just loving songs about partying recently.. Not a typical fan of hers but I really like this song. Had it in my head for weeks.

Favourite Lyrics: "And we do it like Monday to Sunday, doing it our way, riri on replay, cheers to the weekday, we're all in, we're all in love, yeah."

CHEAT CODES - SEX.

Okay so I've been loving House party music a lot recently mainly because I was out every weekend in December and because jades got me obsessed. I don't like the original of this song but love this version. It reminds me of Revs because it's always on there at least once on a night out.

Favourite Lyrics: "Lets talk about all the good things and the bad things that may be."

FIFTH HARMONY - SCARED OF HAPPY.

I don't even know why I started to listen to this song but I absolutely love it now. Little sad Camila left but I always thought she was the strongest vocalist in the band anyway..

Favourite Lyrics: "Something about your feeling, pushing and pulling me in,"

ARIANA GRANDE - THINKIN' BOUT YOU.

I know Ariana released her album almost a year ago but I have been quite obsessed with this song, I have no idea why but it's been one the first songs I've been picking on my playlist. It's quite funny because when her album first came out this was one of the songs I didn't really like or play a lot, now I think it's my most played song from her album.

Favourite Lyrics: "I don't have you here with me but at least I have the memory, i try to make it through the night but I can't control my mind."

CHARLIE PUTH FT SELENA GOMEZ - WE DON'T TALK ANYMORE.

Another one which isn't brand new but for some reason I've been loving it all over again. It's also a relevant song for me at the minute so I can really relate to it.

Favourite Lyrics: "I overdosed, should've known your love was a game, now I can't get you out of my brain."

DIPLO - RIGHT THERE.

I love this song purely for how it makes me feel when I'm getting ready for a night out. It just sets the mood and I can't help but move to it.

Favourite Lyrics: "Don't walk away boy, my love won't hurt you."

ED SHEERAN - SHAPE OF YOU.

I love Castle on The Hill too but I've played this song far more. I am so happy he's back and I love both songs immensely. There isn't an Ed Sheeran song I dislike and hopefully I get to see his next tour.

Favourite Lyrics: "Last night you were in my room, now my bed sheets smell like you."

JAMES ARTHUR - CAN I BE HIM.

Yes it's still a top favourite of mine. It's just such a beautiful song I can't really get over it.

Favourite Lyrics: "I swear that every word you sang you wrote them for me. Like it was a private show but I know you never saw me."

JUSTIN BIEBER - COMPANY.

Another random favourite this month. I've been loving Bieber a lot recently but this song in particular. It's just the chorus, too damn good.

Favourite Lyrics: "Maybe we can stay in touch, that ain't doing too much."

KEHLANI -

CRZY -

Yes, I'm still loving this song. How could I not be? I always play it in the shower to wake me up - it always gets me hyped.

Favourite Lyrics: "Live for the challenge, only makes me stronger. One more reason, to turn up on them."

DO U DIRTY -

Another solid favourite. Such a tune.

Favourite Lyrics: "You think you love me now? I think you should be worried."

HAILEE STEINFELD -

YOU'RE SUCH A -

Such a catchy song. I wish she released it as a single! A top favourite this month.

Favourite Lyrics: "And if you're all that's left when the whole world ends no I still don't wanna hear it anymore."

ROCK BOTTOM -

I have always loved this song, I loved it the whole time I was in Berlin and whenever I hear it it reminds me of when I used to go to dance class in Berlin - I would listen to it on the u-Bahn. I still don't like the version with DNCE though.

Favourite Lyrics: "We're on the right side of rock bottom, and to you I just keep crawling. You're the best kind of bad something and we keep on coming back for more."

MACHINE GUN KELLY ft CAMILA CABELLO - BAD THINGS.

I didn't like this song at first but I really like it now, I think I just needed to warm up to it.

Favourite Lyrics: "Okay yeah I'm insane. But you the same."

MATOMA ft BECKY HILL - FALSE ALARM.

When I say I'm obsessed with this song, please believe me. I also love the acoustic version too. It's just a real feel good song.

Favourite Lyrics: "I never get my hopes up, then I'll never get let down."

NEIKED - SEXUAL.

This song reminds me of New Year's Eve every time I hear it, it was probably the most played track that night. The title explains itself really..

Favourite Lyrics: "You've opened a million doors all I can say is I adore you."

SNAKEHIPS ft MØ - DON'T LEAVE.

I really like MØ's voice, it's really different, I don't know a song that she's on that I dislike.

Favourite Lyrics: "I may not ever get my shit together, but ain't nobody gonna love you better than me."
