Now, if you know me really well or if you've read every single music related blog post I've written(thank you btw if you have).. Then you'll know that Tori Kelly is one of my favourite female artists ever.
So you can only imagine how over the moon I was when she FINALLY released her album in UK and Europe?
I'd heard a few songs on YouTube but I wanted to hear the whole album and FINALLY I have!
So, let's get to reviewing shall we?
WHERE I BELONG - INTRO
Comment: A really cute introduction for her album and it's acoustic which means it's obviously perfect to me.
UNBREAKABLE SMILE
Comment: I've mentioned this song a few times in my monthly favourites. It's just a happy and uplifting song that puts you in an instant good mood.
And it's not about love which I love. I also like the message she's portrays in the song too.
Favourite Lyric: "..and baby who knows, maybe I can sell out shows without taking off my clothes, God made me sexy I don't care if only I know."
NOBODY LOVE
Comment: I was so happy when this was announced as her first single, such an amazing song. The chorus just kills me and she smashed the long high note live. Watch her VMA 2015 performance for justification. You're welcome.
Favourite Lyric: "Everybody's scared of going no where."
EXPENSIVE FT DAYE JACK
Comment: I wasn't actually sure if I was going to like this at first, it's kind of a different sound for her but I now know all the words and sing along like its my own song.
A great washing up song by the way.
Favourite Lyric: "Money don't buy love."
SHOULD'VE BEEN US
Comment: Another song that's been mentioned in my monthly favourites previously. I prefer the non-remix version but I also don't mind the Jeremiah version too.
I also love the music video for this song. I think everyone whether male or female, straight, gay, bi, can relate to this song.
Favourite Lyric: "Still got a little flame for ya' even though you drove me mad."
FIRST HEARTBREAK
Comment: I always love a slow, sad love song - who doesn't?! Tori really showcases her voice in this song, I can't even begin to imagine how amazing this song would be live(one day I will witness this).
Favourite Lyric: "You know it's not that easy to get out of my head, but I guess that's a good thing when you want something so bad."
I WAS MADE FOR LOVING YOU FT ED SHEERAN
Comment: I cried, YES CRIED the first time I heard this song. It was a strange experience for me to actually cry during a song because there's only about 3 songs in the world(this included) that's made me cry in my life. Ed and Tori are a dream team. Well done guys, WELL DONE.
Favourite Lyric: "I was made for loving you, even though we may be hopeless hearts just passing through, every bone screaming; 'I don't know what we should do', all I know is darling; I was made for loving you."
CITY DOVE
Comment: I think if I still did contemporary dance I'd use this song. It's a pretty, freeing song. I just like the easiness of it.
Favourite Lyric: "Know there is something to come, just holding on."
TALK
Comment: I had to listen to this song a few times to warm up to it, but I really like it now. I've added this to my chill playlist, it's something for an easy Sunday.
Favourite Lyric: "You keep saying you won't let me go, you keep saying what I've heard before. Talk."
FUNNY - LIVE
Comment: I'm so glad she hasn't added a recorded version of this to the album and kept it live. Such a powerful and truthful song, I wish I could just quote all of the lyrics, she's amazing. Go listen, seriously.
Favourite Lyric: "The same ones who praise you are the ones who hate you, funny how it all goes round..

ART OF LETTING YOU GO
Comment: For anyone whose ever had a crush or an ex. It's not specifically for someone whose been in a relationship, it can be for someone who's just had a crush on someone whose now got a new partner.
Favourite Lyric: "It's always you I go back to, I know it's danger..
Baby what happened? What am I to do? I wanna move on but I'm scared of losing you."
CALIFORNIA LOVERS FT LL COOL J
Comment: Such a 90's RnB sound - I love it! It reminds me of early JLo actually. And who doesn't love LL Cool J?! (Where has he been by the way???)
Favourite Lyric: "We were young and free, seventeen, just California lovers."
FALLING SLOW
Comment: Ashanti cirque 2000/2001 vibes to this song which is definitely a good thing. Another slow,(sort of) sad song which means it's an immediate favourite of mine, obviously.
Favourite Lyric: "Sometimes I'm wrong, I can be bad, act like a stranger."
ANYWAY
Comment: This song just makes me want to dance the second it starts. Such a soulful voice. I can imagine this song be amazing live too.
It also has a sound of Lauryn Hill to it.
Favourite Lyric: "This is the only Tori I know how to be, sorry if that don't fit your reality."
DEAR NO ONE - BONUS TRACK
Comment: I've known about this song for quite a while as its on her Foreword EP that she did around 2012/2013. It was actually my favourite song from that EP as well as Rocket.
I'm glad that she's put it on this album though, it deserves recognition.
Favourite Lyric: "If you're out there I swear to be good to you, but I'm done looking, for my future someone. 'Cus when the time is right you'll be right here but for now dear no one, this is your love song."
BEAUTIFUL THINGS - BONUS TRACK
Comment: Beautiful acoustic, couldn't really expect anything less from her.
Favourite Lyric: "If you go, I think I'll understand, it's not that easy holding my hand."
