MONTHLY FAVOURITES: October

Hello, hi and welcome! Now, monthly favourites aren't usually something I'm good at keeping up with(apart from my monthly favourite songs).

So I thought I'd do a little update of my favourite things this past month.

~ Everything is in euros as I now live in Germany, and I wasn't paid for any of this or any of that malarkey ~

CLOTHES:

Well, first things first; I ADORE this coat. I haven't actually got this exact one as I couldn't find the one I have on the website, so this is a bit more pink than mine but that's the only difference. I love Boyfriend coats, they're so easy to just throw over things. You can dress them up or down and wear them to all occasions!

I have difficulty finding jeans that fit me, topshop don't fit my bum, primark don't fit my thighs and Zara don't fit my waist. I'm an 8 on my hips but my legs need a 10. So usually I go for ankle grazers and roll the bottoms up. But H&M always seem to have perfect jeans for me, I have four pairs and every pair I've lived in and they also wash well. I just love H&M jeans - where would I be without you?!

ACCESSORIES

The second it turns a little colder and autumnal I always go to H&M(it's basically my second home), they always do the best accessories for Autumn.

The gloves were a little more than I usually spend on gloves(I normally head to primark for my gloves), but this time I felt it was time to mature and actually buy some leather gloves. They go well with all outfits and my coat. And I'm even considering buying them in black too.

The huge hair grip actually appears smaller in the photo but when you have Afro hair you need strong hair clasps that do the job and these do. I already have four of them in black but I decided to get a brown one and I love it.

Hair grips - who doesn't ever need them?! I'm always losing mine and H&M do a pretty package so it's a win win.

MAKE-UP:

I was a little hesitant to buy this blusher as I wasn't sure if it would fit my skin tone but it's actually the greatest blusher I've ever owned. It's really nicely pigmented, not exactly autumnal but it gives you a nice glow and seeing as I was in Spain and Turkey for most of October I had an excuse to get as much wear out of it as I could.

I have converted completely to Maybelline products when it comes to foundation/powder/concealer. I haven't ever fallen in love with products like I have theirs. I have all three powders of theirs; Superstay, FIT ME powder and their new MATTE maker. I also have their SUPERSTAY foundation and FIT ME foundation. I've become obsessed with this concealer, I liked their eraser eye concealer but I felt it ran out too quickly. But I highly recommend this concealer. It's great for under eyes or contouring which I don't really do(I'm not the greatest).

I have nothing but love for MAC's 129 powder brush, I have around six powder brushes and this is one of my favourites as well as the Clinique Powder Brush(€27).

CELEBRITY/SOCIAL MEDIA STAR:

I think Zendaya is such a positive role model in this day and age. She promotes healthy body image, self love and individuality. I'm not in the age bracket of being influenced by a celebrity like her anymore, and I wouldn't say I idolise her or anything but for someone who has a little sister who is 10, I think Zendaya is the perfect person to look up to. She's also got her own Barbie doll which is a huge deal as her doll has got dreadlocks from her famous Oscars 2015 look. To me, this is amazing as when I was growing up there was only blonde barbies with perfect long, straight hair. I remember wishing I could look like that because then maybe I'd be a little prettier. Now thanks to Zendaya she's encouraging a new beautiful that all girls - and boys - of all races, cultures and religions can learn from.

SONG/ALBUM:

I couldn't choose just one as I've loved all three. So, I'm bending the rules and choosing these three.

Selena Gomez 'Revival'.
I've done a review of this and there you can see my opinion on each song. But I love it, I've had it on since it came out.

Top five songs:

• Hands To Myself
• Body Heat
• Perfect
• Same Old Love
• Me & My Girls

Tori Kelly 'Unbreakable Smile'
I've also reviewed this recently. I love her, I love the album. Perfection.

Top five songs:

• I Was Made For Loving You ft Ed Sheeran
• Funny(Live)
• Art Of Letting You Go
• Should've Been Us
• Anyway

Alessia Cara 'Four Pink Walls'
Okay, so this is an EP not an album but it's still absolutely amazing and only makes me excited for her album. I'm also reviewing this soon. There are only five songs on the EP so i'll rank them in order of my favourites.

1. I'm Yours
2. Seventeen
3. Here
4. Outlaws
5. Four Pink Walls

OTHER FAVOURITE SONGS:

• One Direcrion - Drag Me Down Big Payno Remix X AFTERHRS.
• Justin Bieber - Sorry
• One Direction - Perfect (Stripped version)
• Little Mix - Get Weird

BOOK:

I haven't yet finished this book so maybe this is kind of cheating? I'm on chapter 25 though so I'm nearly finished. Whilst I was travelling and going on different planes and different stop overs this was the perfect distraction. It really makes you fall in love with the idea of being in love.

YOUTUBER:

Now, this is quite strange for me because I never used to actually really watch lucyandlydia that much at all even though I was subscribed. But suddenly one day when I was bored in Spain I watched them for at least two hours straight and I just kind of became obsessed with them. They're just so happy and sweet girls who only want to spread happiness and positivity. They don't do YouTube for money and fame and you can tell by the way they fangirl how normal they actually are. I think they're really down to earth unlinke some youtubers who kind of got above themselves.

PHOTO OF THE MONTH:

I have so many for October!

I spent three weeks in Spain which was incredible. On one of the days there I went on a little adventure and found these cave houses built into the canyon. Incredible!

After Spain we went to Turkey for a week where I basically cried every night because of how amazing the sunset is. This photo doesn't even capture it and it makes me sad but yeah, amazing.

(From left to right: Myself, Franklin, Amelie, Natalie).

Franklin has been there for me since I moved to Berlin, he's my little brain box who knows everything and always finds things for us to do. And he knows how to get around on the u/s-bahn which is great because I am USELESS. Amelie and my namesake Natalie have always been so sweet and lovely and I'm so glad I've met them, they were also the ones who randomly got us into some magic show at 2am but that's Berlin for you..

WHAT'S EXCITING ABOUT NEXT MONTH?

(Even though it's November 1st today oops). I go to Austria for 7 days then I'm looking forward to all the Christmas markets as Berlin goes IN with Christmas so I've heard. And Christmas shopping(yay!)

Thanks for reading! Until next time..
