BLOGMAS: Day 5

Hello, hi and welcome to Blogmas day 5 :-)

So, mum and I woke up at around 9, we both talked and had breakfast neither of us were ready until midday because we spent all morning talking and catching up - as any mother and daughter would do.

We then went for a walk down the shopping mall street that's very close to my place called Schoßstrasse. It has three shopping malls which excited my mum to no end. 

We had a look in chocolatiers, the Body Shop, Zara, H&M and ended up in Primark. I didn't buy anything which is a shock for me too. My mum bought some fluffy socks.

After that we took a walk through the market they have there. We bought a cone of pastries that I can't really compare to anything in England because there isn't a comparison, they're a typical German pastry that you eat at Christmas time, SO GOOD. 

We headed home and chilled as the walk had tired me out, I'm still recovering from being unwell so I had a half an hour nap.

At around 15:30 we set back off again and went to a German Christmas market or as they call it: Weihnachtmarkt. 

We went to one in Gendarmenmarkt, which was super pretty.

At the markets we bought glühwein(mulled wine), I had alcohol free but my mum didn't which she regretted as she literally felt drunk after three sips so she sneakily poured it away and shared mine. 

We also bought caramelised cashew nuts and macadamia nuts which were SO good. We considered going back for more but the line was too long and we were too tired and cold to wait again.

We arrived back home at around 18:45, we were both so tired and hungry we ordered in Chinese food and watched the Sacconejolys as that's kind of a tradition for my mum and I. We love the Sacconejolys.

We sat watching loads of different videos on YouTube, I made mum listen to One Direction's album and she concluded that her favourite songs were:

- I Want To Write You A Song

- A.M

- Perfect

Her least favourite were:

- Temporary Fix

- Never Enough

- Hey Angel

I also played her Bieber's album which she loved, she was like "I want this on my iPod" to every song. Good job, Biebs.

After being so exhausted from the day we fell asleep at around 23:00, which for me is quite early on a weekend but it had been a long day.

That's its for today, hope you enjoyed reading! Tomorrow we're doing more touristic stuff and I'll be sure to take a lot of photos.
