BLOGMAS: Day 4

Hello, hi and welcome to my Blogmas day 4 post :-)

Today I woke up feeling okay, I think the excitement of my mum flying over really motivated me to push myself.

I had a shower, got ready and had some breakfast with Child A. I had sugar puffs with a green smoothie. Moving to Berlin has really made me a lot healthier, I've also turned vegetarian whilst living here, I haven't eaten meat since late August, and I'm really enjoying smoothies. I'm quite lazy however as I always drink bought ones even though I have a machine in my flat.

Child A napped and I did some household chores in preparation for my mum coming here; hoovered, mopped, put the dishwasher and washing machine on, put away clean clothes and put out the bin.

It's kind of like being a housewife, but a cool one.

When child A woke from their nap I made us both lunch, I say us I mean them. Anyone who is a nanny, au pair, mother, or working with a small child will understand that they always eat first and you eat as and when.

After playing a little bit and singing Christmas songs, child A had their second nap of the day and I was able to eat and enjoy a German gossip magazine for a little while.

Today, I haven't gone for anything crazy to wear as I don't feel one hundred percent still.

These jeans are probably my favourite pair of jeans I've ever bought, I've had them for around two years now I think, maybe little less. They're so comfy.

I'm so excited for my mum to arrive tonight, her plane takes off at 16:30 so 17:30 my time, and she's due to land 19:25 my time. I haven't seen her since August(literally), my mum can't work Skype and she doesn't have a iPhone so we only talk on whatsapp, so seeing her is always extra, extra special which actually quite nice.

Whilst Child A was taking another nap I washed up, and then sat going through my Christmas list of what I would like this year, I don't particularly want anything extravagant - I'll just be happy to be at home, in my onesie, eating until it's coming out of my ears and seeing my mum, brother and sister.

But I have asked for a couple things:

- Suitcase. I need a new suitcase, mine is around five years old, it's scratched all over, the wheels are bent in and one of the zips are broken. I want a hard shell case that you can push because I travel so much dragging a suitcase is just a.. Drag. Sorry not sorry for the pun.

- Adidas trainers. Now, there are a few that I like so I'm happy with any.

- Professor Green's Autobiography. Not a lot of people know this, but I really love Professor Green. I think he's genuine and down to earth and I find his story so interesting that I really want to read his new book. I also saw him live once and I kind of formed a crush on him.

- Caroline Flack's Autobiography. I really like Caroline Flack, I think she's had to take a lot of abuse from people and I'd love to read how she's handled it.

That's it really on the things I would like, anything else is a bonus :-)

19:15 came and I drove to fetch my mum from the airport, I was buzzing like an excited bee in a jam jar.

I walked in, and she was waiting in the arrivals - I literally launched on to her and we squealed and hugged for ages.

When we got home, we spoke until 1am, both of us were so tired but so excited that we couldn't sleep. It was cute.

Thanks for reading!

Hope you enjoyed,

Natalie xx
